The Project
Mulgrove Farm Village is a brand-new development which comprises of a total of 150. The 150 units comprises of 116 open market houses and 25 affordable units. The site is situated in the highly sought-after area of Harry Stoke. All the units have been expertly designed creating the environment for modern day living with aesthetics to match. Mulgrove Farm Village will boast a range of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments and 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes. The homes are surrounded by open space, including play areas and a Multi use game area (MUGA). The site benefits further as it is provides excellent transport links, with easy access to both M4 & M5 and walking distance from Parkway train station.
The Process
SJP Architectural Consultants Ltd were engaged and appointed to prepare the technical working drawings. The client used a mix of their standard house type range and bespoke house types to satisfy the constraints during the planning stage.
The initial brief was to ensure the substructure package was prepared promptly for the Structural Engineers. This allowed them to progress with their foundation designs to start on site.
The second stage was to provide a full working drawing package for the site team. This included preparing the bespoke apartment blocks and house types in-line with the client’s requirements. Engaging with the client during the production of the bespoke house types during this project was fundamental.
A collaborative approach was undertaken to provide a full technical working drawing package. This included ensuring that all technical information was added to the drawings for construction. We ensured all working drawings encompassed site specific SAPs, specifications and structural detailing.
This project presented many challenges given the modern design and complexity of the house types. Being residential specialists, we have a team with strong knowledge of the regulations and construction. This allowed us to resolve any issues efficiently and deliver a high-quality technical drawing package ahead of our deadline.
SJP Architectural Consultants produced the full detailed technical drawings which included bespoke detailing for combined plots with varying roof designs. We continue to provide support to the office and site team during the construction process.
