The Process
SJP Architectural Consultants Ltd were appointed to prepare the technical working drawings. The client opted to use their standard house type range with a bespoke apartment block. Our initial brief was to adapt the standard house type working drawings to suit the approved planning information. Finally we were required to prepare a working drawing package for the bespoke apartment block.
We have extensive experience in adapting clients standard house type ranges to comply with current regulations and planning information. We undertook a collaborative approach to ensure a full working drawing package was provided for construction. This included ensuring that all technical information is collated on the drawings. The working drawings were updated to accommodate the SAPs, acoustic mitigation reports, and ecological mitigation. During this process we were required to liaise directly with suppliers, check and implement third party information as required. This included jet floor systems, joist designs, truss designs and other items such as staircases.
SJP Architectural consultants delivered the technical drawings within the client’s deadlines. Throughout the process we were engaged with the client and provided necessary feedback and identified practical solutions when completing the bespoke apartment package. To complete the full technical working drawing package, we included bespoke detailing which was required for combined plots with varying roof designs.
